Save The Adventurers Club

Peter David proposed to his beloved at the Adventurers Club, and now that they are closing their doors, he has started a campaign to stop it from happening. He proposes that people send maps to Bob Iger.

Here are Peter's directions from Jim Hill’s site, "First open the map and circle where you live. Then draw arrows from your location to where the Adventurers Club is located. Because -- to be honest -- I'm not sure that Disney's current management team actually knows where the Club is. I mean, they can't seriously have visited this place if they've now planning on closing the Adventurers Club down. No one who's ever been in that Club, seen those shows and interacted with that cast could ever bring themselves to shut such a unique entertainment down. Now take that map and stuff it in an envelope, which you'll then address to:

The Walt Disney Company
ATTN: Robert A. Iger
500 South Buena Vista Street
Burbank, CA 91521

Save the Adventurers Club or Is it Just Being Moved?

Some of you have expressed an interest in saving the Adventurers Club this is a link to the Save the Adventurer's Club Petition. I would also note for everyone that Jim Hill has been reporting for months that Night Kingdom, the purported fifth gate at Disney World, will have a
huge Adventurers Club. Love it or hate it. I suspect with this new news this might make it
official?

Pleasure Island to be Closed?

JimHillMedia.com had a story yesterday about the nerves of the cast members who work at Pleasure Island. With the closing of the Rock `n' Roll Dance Club closing in February and talk of moving the Adventurers Club to Night Kingdom, the staff is understandably spooked. Apparently, Disney is also selling off it's signature sky-tracker spotlights (the ones you see in the sky at night). The story also details the possibility of merging the buildings for 8Trax and Mannequins Dance Palace in to one huge night club.
