Disneyland to Introduce a new Water Show at the Grand California Hotel

DIZNEWS: There has been loads of not so wonderful Disney news this
weekend; the writers strike is effecting television production,
Broadway stagehands began striking on Saturday so Broadway is dark and
Disney is being sued for not allowing people to use their personal
Segways to get around the parks. However, it is Monday morning and
this is not the New York Times, so I wanted to report on something a
little less depressing...

Disneyland is going "Vegas Baby" with a new water show by the folks
who designed the Bellagio's famous fountains to be called "World of
Color." This new show, which will center around water, and presumably
color, along with music; will reportedly not feature boats, performers
or fireworks. Disney is creating a new venue that will feature a 9000
seat amphitheater with VIP roof top viewing atop the hotel.
California Adventure's restaurant Ariel's Grotto will be changed to a
"Princess Palace" waterside dining venue where guests can eat with the
princesses and then enjoy the show. No opening date has been
announced but this project is part of the retooling of the Grand
California Park.
