DIZNEWS: The Prospera company has submitted a proposal for two hotels to be
built at Anaheim's Garden Walk. Prospera has reported that it has
confidentially contracted with an unnamed company to run the hotels.
The OC Register is speculating that the company that Prospera has
contracted is Disney? Hmmm...more Disney Hotels near Disneyland?
The Anaheim housing deal as proposed by Suncal was allegedly dead a
few weeks ago but it appears that it was down but not out. SunCal,
who withdrew it's proposal is now stating that it was just seeking to
end paying legal fees but wanted to continue to press it's case. They
are now stating that the city council's decision to terminate the
proposal is discriminatory to minorities and those with low incomes
within the city, they further state that the decision violates state
and federal statutes. It is unclear whether SunCal is still looking
to build housing or they are solely pursuing a suit against the city
council.
