Legendary Disney Imagineer Joyce Carlson Passes Away

Ms. Carlson worked for Disney for more than 56 years as a designer and model maker. She was 84. Most famous for her work on the original models of It's a Small World for the New York World's Faire in 1964, she again worked to bring the project to Disneyland. She continued to return to Disney World once a week after she retired in 2000. That same year she was named a Disney Legend and given her own window on Main Street USA. The window reads, "Miss Joyce, Dollmaker for the World".
