Disney reported yesterday a 10% increase over last years' park revenues for all four North American theme parks. This is good news for Disney investors and more importantly for Disney's planned changes and enhancements at the parks.
Acting Surgeon General, Dr. Steven Galston, awarded Disney the "Champion Award" for its work in giving park-goers more healthy choices. Some examples of this can be seen in the children's menus at the parks. Menu choices are offered with fruits, vegetables and milk. If you want soda and fries you have to request them. Adult menus are also configured to give healthy choices.
