There has been an uproar in the UK over High School Musical...underwear. I’m not kidding. The underwear, marketed to ‘tweens, were printed with the phrase, “Dive In” on them. Parents were very upset and Disney has pulled the underwear from store shelves. Disney issued an apology stating that the phrase was taken out of context and that it wouldn’t be used again.
Florida’s Attorney General has upheld Disney’s stance on not allowing castmembers to leave weapons locked in their cars, as allowed by Florida law. Disney has taken that position stating they are exempt because they use explosives on property for fireworks. The attorney general has sided with Disney on this matter and Disney has agreed to allow some employees working away from resort property to carry weapons in their cars.
On one more somber note, I promise to find something upbeat tomorrow, Hurricane Fay is headed toward Florida. It is expected to hit the Florida Keys sometime today. While the storm is not going to directly hit Disney, let’s hope storm damage is minor and all are out of harms way.
