DizNews: Golden Globe for Wall-E, Adventurer’s Club Briefly Open and
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

Wall-E won a Golden Globe for best animated film last night despite heavy competition from Kung Fu Panda. I’m happy for little Wall-E but I think that it has an uphill battle to win a best picture Oscar. Disney/Pixar has won the category all three years that the award has been given out.

There was a lot of excitement on the web yesterday when the Adventurer’s Club was open for a one night semi-private event for those participating in the Walt Disney World Marathon and Half Marathon. However, the rumors that the club is back in business are false.

Finally, the Walt Disney World Marathon and Half Marathon was this past weekend. 22,000 runners ran this past weekend in what has become one of the most popular marathons in the country. Adriano Bastos won his fifth consecutive marathon in the men’s category while Lisa Mizutani won for the women. While this is interesting, what I find more interesting is all the people who worked hard for this event to just finish. One of those people is Jonathan Dichter of the All About the Mouse Podcast. His story is remarkable. You can read his blog here.
Congratulations to all who ran! Way to go!
