Venice Film Festival Honors Pixar

John Lasseter and the other directors of Pixar will receive a career achievement award for the revolution of film (I’m unclear as to whether this is the official title of the award) at this year’s Venice Film Festival. The festival runs this year September 2-12.

Whoopsie...

Last week we reported on getting tickets for the Haunted Mansion 40th Anniversary Event. Well, tickets sold out, some at $495 a pop, in just a few minutes. There were apparently a lot of problems with registering for the event, including the registration web site crashing. Disney also reportedly was only allowing registrants to buy one ticket so many people who planned on going with friends were out of luck. Anyone out there manage to get a golden ticket? If so we would love to hear about your experience when you go.
