DizNews: Imagineer Interns Wanted & Entertaining the Next Generation...

Disney has put out a call for Interns for Imagineering. ImagiNations is the name of the annual contest. Applications must be in by January 30, 2009. Applicants are being asked to do a video project as their creative submission. Go here, for application information.

The Disney Blog has a very interesting article about the “next generation” of theme park entertainment: such as Kim Possible and Toy Story Mania. The article references a BBC article about the same topic along with a John Frost original address the same topic. Both are worth your while so I am not going to summarize them here. Entertaining this new generation of “plugged in kids” seems to be a hot topic these days, particularly in Glendale. I’m of two minds about this. Who would not be entertained by the simple magic of Pirates and The Haunted Mansion but if we want Disney to not become a park for “old folks” my hope is that our children can be as entertained and enchanted as I was. Follow this link to the John Frost article which links to the BBC article.

Trivia Teaser: What is Kim Possible in her “regular life” when she’s not a secret agent and student?
