Two Universities Get “Big Mouse on Campus”

Southern Illinois University Carbondale College of Business and Louisiana State University were chosen as the only two colleges this year to get the Disney treatment with “Big Mouse on Campus” a program that involves an intensive three days of information from the Walt Disney Company at the college campus. Workshops for students include resumes, interviewing, leaderships and networking. This is also an opportunity for students to apply to the Disney CareerStart program to work at the Disney parks.

Disney Magic Gets Star Treatment

The Disney Magic is set for a major refurb. The cruise ship will dry dock for three weeks at the end of this month and get several upgrades. A 385 square food “Mickey’s Splash Zone” will be added to the deck nine Mickey Pool. The area will be themed to the “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and will have splash areas and fountains for toddlers who are not potty trained and cannot swim in the pools. Cabins will get LCD TVs, and the adult and kid designated areas on the ship will get some upgrades. The ship itself will get a new coat of paint on the hull that will reportedly improve fuel efficiency.
