Disney Files Paperwork on Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Disney, also known as Worldco, has filed paperwork with the Orange County comptroller’s office detailing the new DVC units attached to the Contemporary (formerly known as Kingdom Tower). DVCNews.com has sketches up of the pool, floor plans and an overhead image of the resort, which if I am not mistaken (and I very well could be) depicts the pool area and recreational facilities on top of the roof of the resort (If anyone could clarify for me that would be great!). Here is the link.

Tokyo Disneyland Resort Set for Cirque

Tokyo Disneyland is getting its own Cirque du Soleil show “ZED”. A new theatre has been built on property and a show exclusive to that theatre will premiere there on October 1st. From the press release, "ZED is a living poem, a timeless evocation that draws on the Tarot and its arcana, an imaginary world that conjures the vitality of the human condition and holds up a mirror to our true selves. The central, larger-than-life character Zed represents all of humanity in all its guises, from wisdom to folly, from discovery to adventure." Ticket are on sale and prices range from $90 to $160US.

And the Winner is...

The finale of High School Musical: Get in the Picture was this evening and after much anticipation and American Idol like dancing and singing (am I the only one who saw this as a possible lead in or “hopeful substitution” for the American Idol Attraction opening soon at Hollywood Studios?) the winner was announced. Stan Carrizosa was named the winner of the competition. He wins a staring role in a video to be shown during the closing credits of High School Musical: 3 (HSM3) and a contract for two digital singles with Walt Disney Records and talent hold agreement with ABC.

HSM3 Premier Contest

Speaking of HSM3, Disney is holding a contest sponsored by Sara Lee to invite kids to attend and walk the red carpet at the premier of High School Musical 3: Senior Year. The prize is 4 tickets to the premier of the movie at the Galen Center at University of Southern California. If you are interested in participating in the contest go here.
